Fugitive couple arrested in rural Arizona

the us marshals service told our nbc affiliate in phoenix that the fugitives accused of murdering a couple in santa rosa have been caught. eyewitness news 4 was the first to report tonight that john mccluskey and casslyn welsh were caught in springerville, arizona. that's in apache county arizona.. just west of the new mexico state line. for all the late breaking details--- lets go to jeff maher live in the newsroom i just got off the phone with a sergeant who assisted in this major arrest in arizona. he says mccluskey and welch were taken into custody without anyone getting hurt it all went down around 8-pm tonight at the gabaldon campground near grear and big lake --- near springerville, a town in eastern arizona. that sergeant says once mccluskey and welch were identified by the park ranger, law enforcement officers from multiple agencies rushed in to make the arrest the two suspects are being transported right now to the apache county jail in saint johns arizona where they will be booked. the two are facing a long list of charges, including murder and escape. live in the newsroom. jeff maher. eyewitness news four. there are reports tonight mcclusky lived and worked in santa rosa several years ago. the guadalupe county communicator reports he worked for a gravel-crushing operation. it's located in the same area where the bodies of gary and linda haas were discovered. the communicator interviewed a former supervisor for the compy who says he remembers mccluskey as a ...
