My Addiction to amphetamines

Dear Silvio,

I have felt compelled to write to you ever since I heard about your story. First of all let me introduce myself to you...I was a nurse here in Kokomo who by accident became addicted to prescription amphetamines. LOL; I say by accident because who aspires to become a drug addict by the time they are 30? After writing several scripts for my 'drug of choice' I was finally caught! This was back in 1998...since that time I have been diagnosed with ADD...how convenient! This was another excuse and justification to abuse my substance. After several years of my tolerance increasing, I was no longer able to 'get my fix' on pills alone. Keep in mind that although my disease was growing and further affecting every aspect of my life. NO ONE KNEW THE EXTENT OF MY DRUG USE! I tried methamphetine really on accident. I snorted, smoked, and in the end was making this drug with synthetic chemicals in my garage. (I live in the 'silk stocking' neighborhood....NO ONE KNEW OR EVEN SUSPECTED my dark secret. I could not live or get through even one day without my dope! PLEASE know you are not alone!!! I would not wish this disease on my worst enemy! Drugs have taken away any and everything that I have ever cared about. I became a ghost of a person who would give anything to turn back time. PLEASE know that there is no discrimination....Even with periods of sobriety...this drug is always calling me back! Hang in there keep you head up. God is going to show up in your life when you least expect...I will be praying for you.
