Burleson Police Department urges residents to pay closer attention to their vehicles and to keep valuables out of sight after a string of car burglaries this month revealed how open some resident leave themselves to thefts.

An Ellis County court sentenced Burleson resident, Bobby Joe Hall, 56, to 20 years in prison on Friday. Hall, who was convicted of indecency with a child, was given the maximum 20-year sentence and a $10,000 fine for the second degree felony.
