28, May 2012 - Man Extradited In Kentucky Murder Case
A man has been extradited for a Kentucky murder that occurred 14 years ago. On Thursday, Kentucky State Police extradited Shane T. Elkins back to Kentucky. Elkins was indicted on August, 22, 2011 for the murder of Michael Dean Bartley of Ezel that occurred on January 22, 1998. Bartley’s residence. A governor’s warrant was obtained for capital murder. The case remains under investigation.

He is accused of killing Michael Dean Bartley in Morgan County in 1998. The grand jury indicted Elkins on murder charges back in August. He was in a West Virginia jail on unrelated charges at the time.
