31, May 2012 - Cottage Grove inmate died of aspiration pneumonia, autopsy finds
Oregon State Police spokesman Lt. Gregg Hastings said 24-year-old Nathan Scott Cooper was released from the jail receive medical treatment for drug withdrawal. He failed to return to the jail at the appointed time and was arrested April 30 and booked back into the jail. Saturday morning at around 5 a.m., jailers found Cooper dead in his cell.
