 | The Kenton County Detention Center is located in Covington, Kentucky at 3000 Decker Crane Lane. The architect for this facility was Brandstetter Carroll. In building this facility, it was modeled from a detention facility in Florida and it was equipped with modern technology. The Kenton County Detention Center was designed with the Direct Supervision layout, which is utilized to increase the security and decrease operational expenses. The Kenton County Detention Center is a 160,000 square foot jail facility and has been enabled for a 300 bed expansion. Currently, the Kenton County Detention Center has a maximum inmate occupancy of 630. This is a single story facility and is connected with the Kenton County Fiscal Court.
The Kenton County Detention Center has a full time staff which consists of ninety employees, all of whom are under the jurisdiction and supervision of the Kenton County Jailer. Captain Kim Roberts is a Captain at the Kenton County Detention Center. Inmates at the Kenton County Detention Center may receive mail from family and friends.
