ACSO Chase Possible Suspect

The Attala County Sheriff's Department is involved in a man hunt for two subject that was described as being involved in a robbery. The foot chase started from the main street in Ethel and continued West to the area of the wood yard. Audio One Subject was taken into custody at 11:21 am. Audio Attala Deputies involved in the foot chase said that one was still in the woods or near the lumber company. The Kosciusko Police Department was called to assist the Attala Units in the chase. Audio We are unsure of the location that was robbed but Chief Deputy Tim Nail advised the Sheriff's Office to contact the McCool Grocery and let them know that they would be back to their location to follow up. Audio DSCF8013-0001.jpgUpdate: Sheriff William Lee of the Attala County Sheriff Department reported that there was a armed robbery at McCool Grocery this morning, where an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store. One subject was taken into custody shortly after, but the other suspect that is still at large and is described as a black male wearing dark color clothes with dread locks. The Mississippi Highway Patrol along with the Attala County Sheriff Department will be conducting a road block near Highway 12 by the water tower. The vehicle, a Mercury Mountaineer, has been towed to Attala County Sheriff Department for further investigation.
