 | The Jackson County Adult Detention Center is used to house both non-violent and violent offenders. This facility is a mixed gender facility, housing both men and women inmates. The Jackson County Adult Detention Center is supervised by the County Sheriff, however it is funded and ran by the Board of Supervisors. The Jackson County Adult Detention Center houses inmates who have just recently been arrested an awaiting bond, inmates who do not have bond and are awaiting trial, inmates who have been recently convicted and are awaiting transfer to a State facility and also, parole violators. The Jackson County Adult Detention Center does not house State inmates.
