SUSSEX (AP) -- Virginia has recorded its second hunting fatality of the year. Department of Game and Inland Fisheries Conservation Police say 46-year-old Kevin Brooks of Virginia Beach was shot to death Wednesday while turkey hunting near Waverly. 09, May 2013 - Waverly Virginia Beach hunter fatally shot in Sussex County
A Virginia Beach man was shot to death Wednesday while turkey hunting in Sussex County. Kevin Brooks, 46, was pronounced dead on the scene, near Waverly, according to Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries Conservation Police. He was shot by Raymond Weidner, 70, also of Virginia Beach, with a shotgun.
