Washington State Patrol vs. Steve Rousch of Walla Walla, a Retired IBEW Utility Worker

Occupy Olympia protester Steve Rusch, Walla Walla, a retired IBEW utility worker is released by the Washington State Patrol following his illegal detainment and after he was forced to sign an afidavit of guilt or go to jail. Mr. Rousch was detained after he was forcibly removed from the Washington State Capitol building the evening of November 28, 2011. Because of this and other illegal actions committed by the WSP, a US District Judge issued a temporary restraining order against the Washington State Patrol based on potential civil rights violations of the 1st and 14th Amendments. This in essence nullifies any penalty handed out by the Washington State Patrol for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. Because of their illegal actions, the Washington State Patrol has additionally put the state of Washington in jeopardy of even further budget strain due to the likelyhood of civil penalties following a ruling by the judge.
